Last year, Insurance Claims Group Pty Ltd started the process to become licensed and authorised to offer claim handling services in accordance with the then upcoming ASIC regulations. Sparked by the Hayne Royal Commission report and the subsequent introduction of the Financial Sector Reform Bill 2020, the regulatory change means that from 1 January 2022, all companies that provide claims handling services in Australia will require an Australian Financial Services License (AFSL) to operate or act on behalf of a claimant on an insurance claim.
At Insurance Claims Group, we have always and will continue to be 100-percent focused on meeting all of our obligations in place to ensure that the activity undertaken by us, on behalf of our clients is fully compliant with Australia’s new claims handling legislation. This commitment underpins our customer value proposition which includes the delivery of claims handling services efficiently, honestly and fairly.
It is now 2022 and we are pleased to announce that Insurance Claims Group Pty Ltd is a Corporate Authorised Representative of AFSL licensee Life Matters Claims Pty Ltd, AFSL No. 532487. Insurance Claims Group Pty Ltd is also a member of the Australian Financial Complaints Authority (AFCA).
